Pioneer Day

On Sat, July 19th we went to the neighboring stakes pioneer day celebration. It was so much fun. They had food and games and it was a beautiful evening. Located at a park with great big trees, the shade was cool and very unlike Southern California weather. It was no nice. We were able to see several families that we hadn't seen in a while and show off our cute twins. Bridget and Ethan has the best time rolling around on the blanket and picking grass and rubbing it through their fingers. Bridget got to taste some watermelon and loves it! Ethan had a allergy so we gave it to her when he was occupied looking the other way.

mmm, this tastes good!
ooo, the red part is even better!

Ok, hmm, lets see red part good, green part not, how do I turn it around?
This is hard! Why are you laughing and taking my picture!
LOL! It was a great day and a fun way to celebrate Pioneer day on July 24th!

Avila Beach #3

Ok, I promise no more. There were just so many!!!

I love this picture. I know its not of their faces but Bridget's hand on Ethan's back brings tears to my eyes. They really are bonded and love to be near each other, they are my miracles, my two blessed babies. With out love, faith and the wonders of medicine I would not have such a beautiful and touching photo, and such a perfect family.

Avila Beach, July 11-13

A few weekends ago we were blessed with a great opportunity, A family weekend vacation!!! Our friends the Ostergards have a time share at Avila beach, CA near San Louis Obispo. They always go for a week every year had talk about the fun times that they have. Well this year they had there reservation to start on Friday but were not able to go up there until Sunday evening. So LUCKY us! We are offered the weekend to go up and stay! We were so excited, neither Joseph or I have been up in the area since we were little. We packed up the kids and took off. It was abt. a three and a half hour drive, and I have to say that the babies were amazing. They were quite and slept for a good portion of the time, but even when they were not sleeping they played quietly in there car seat. How lucky are we? We made it most of the way until we were abt. 45 min away, when its all went down. They decided they were STARVING and could not wait a min longer. We decided to stop in a parking lot and get out the bottles. A few minutes later and we were on the road.
We weekend was a blast. Saturday we drove up north a little a went to Hearst Castle. We did not get farther that the visitor center but it was still a fun adventure and a great break to walk around. The tour did not allow strollers and we felt it was too long to to carry them around. So we jumped back in the car drove down the coast and went to the little town of Cambria. We walked around enjoyed the cooler weather and stopped in a few little shops. That evening we went into San Louis Obispo and ate dinner at Pizza Solo (thanks Kerri and Vera for the suggestion) and walked around the shops. Sunday we got up, went to the beach and stroller along the boardwalk. We ate snow cones and cotton candy and enjoyed the summer day. Then it was back to the grind and we drove the ride home. It was a great weekend, and the first time we had gone away with the babies just us. Thanks Kerry, we owe you!!!

Look who starting to sit!

Look who is starting to sit!

BRIDGET! yay! Its been some struggles but finally Bridget is starting to sit on her own for at least a few seconds. Its only been a struggle because she does not like it and does not want to even try. But a few weeks of physical therapy and a toy distraction and we were able to run get the camera and snap a pic.

4th of July

The 4th of July was a blast! We went to our friends the Beckstroms for a BBQ and swim party. Ethan and Bridget love to go swimming and it was so fun to play in the pool with them. We spent most of the day in the pool splashing and playing in the water. They had so much fun that they were so tired and went to bed before the fireworks. My dad was nice and stayed with them at his house and Joseph and I went to the park to watch the fireworks. It was one of the best shows Ive seen and just a short walk away. Overall we had a wonderful day to celebrate this great nation.

Carpenteria, June 2008

In June we went on a great camping trip to Carpenteria, CA. It was our first time going anywhere overnight with Bridget and Ethan so i was a little nervous to go. It turned out to be a wonderful trip. We stayed in my parents tent trailer so the babies didn't get to cold and they slept all night and even napped during the day! It was so fun to have everyone up at the beach. My Aunt Tracy and Uncle David even came down from Seattle and camped with us. They are so much fun and I was so happy to be able to visit with them. David has a great camera and was able to take some really great pictures at the beach one day and just sent them to us. They came out fantastic, I am so happy to have some great pics. We spent a few days there and one of them was Fathers day. I was a perfect Day the weather was nice and we were able to go and play at the beach. Ethan could not get enough of the sand and the water and was so happy to be playing outside with his dad. Bridget was happy to be in shade with me. Over all it was a fantastic trip!
